Europe is in the Northern Hemisphere. It is the second smallest continent in the world. 

BOUNDARIES: 

The European boundaries are: 

• The Arctic Ocean into the north.
• The Mediterranean Sea to the south, separating Europe and Africa.
• The Ural Mountains, the Caspian Sea , the Black Sea and the Caucasus Mountains to the east, separating Europe and Asia.
• The Atlantic Ocean to the west.

 The European continent is made up of 49 countries.
